Wrap my WEEKEND UP.
' 5:37 PM

Feels like I'm born again,
Feels like I'm living

- Born Again, Third Day feat. Lacey Mosely -

WHAT A CRAZY WEEKEND

Did so much and obviously, had HEAPS OF FUN! Adding on to that, I managed to cross off ALOT of things on my "To-Buy List" on the Left hand side of the blog ;)
Things I got for my birthday include:
A good microphone from SonLife!
Casting Crowns new album; "Until the Whole World Hears" from Daniel & Aaron
Bloom Platinum Eyeshadow from Karlie & Ashlee
Versace Perfume from Julian, Dom and Jess
Giraffe Horse Plushie + Weird Toy + $1.80 from Tyson & Sam
Pilgrim Dress from Jen and Kim
Little Women novel from Josie
Music Notes Wallet from Jade & Sibel
Big Scarf from Gwen
Plushie from Victor
Rob Thomas' Cradlesong from Luke

Now that all my awesome presents are out of the way, I can talk about HOW I finally celebrated my great 17th :P

Thursday, 19th Nov. 2009
I made plans with my four best friends; Jade, Luke, Louis and Victor to somewhat celebrate my birthday :D We also needed to catch up really, since we haven't hung out together as a group for a VERY LONG TIME :( I miss them sometimes :(We took a few more photos but since there's so many photos to upload, these ones were the best :D

Friday, 20th Nov. 2009
Made a new trip to Coburg with friends from SONLIFE to have my birthday dinner (long overdue). They bought me this awesome card which sings to me too ;) Had turkish food and wow- a lot of BREAD and MEAT. I tasted my first slice of Lamb and feel slightly guilty now especially after watching Channel Nine film a documentary on animal cruelty :( Nonetheless, the food was amazing :D The live musicians also played 'Happy Birthday' to me when everyone started singing LOL. Amusingly awkward ROFL. But still, a lot of fun just taking photos and really bonding with this new but great group of friends. Thanks for a great time guys and I hope you had an awesome time too! Later, a few of them came back to our place and we just hung around while watching my sister, Aaron, Avis, Mark and Chris play Wii boxing. LOL.

Saturday, 21st Nov. 2009
One uber packed day, and I'm not kidding :( I spent my afternoon at Macleay Park, celebrating my 17th with some of my SCHOOL FRIENDS. It was pretty awesome and I have to say, they made things really easy for me :D "Thanks for helping to clean up and for giving me a great afternoon!" It was a wonderful time and thankfully, no one broke anything or anyone! Surprisingly.... Jade bought me a cake! I have to be honest, I was a bit suspicious but more worried because she went missing for quite awhile which really freaked me out :@ And when I looked for her, she wasn't there :( Stupid Jade.

Later in the day, an hour after wrapping up my party, I went to Jono K.'s 18th! Damn, he's one old man now :P *jokeees* To Jono: May God bless you in everything that He has in store for you. In times of doubt or fear, may God provide you with the faith and strength to trust in Him wholeheartedly and truly, lean not on your own understanding for Christ has given you life to treasure. Through grace, God has given you 18 years on this planet and definitely plenty more to come and in all that you are here for, I know God has a reason for you, Jonathan Kang to be here today. Whatever that reason may be, God knows and may He continue to work in you to glorify His name so that when people see you, they see a reflection of God in the image of man. Thanks for a great time and I'm sure God will pave your way as you walk with Him in the journey of life!

Love :)
' 5:04 PM

Yeah we'll look at the stars and we're together,
Well, it's always better when we're together

- Better Together, Jack Johnson -

A beautiful love song I have to say :)

GUESS WHAT?
What?
I GOT A HAIRCUT!

:Before::After:

It's actually not that short but still kinda miss my long hair :( I run my fingers through my hair and there's nothing left to run through :S But I did have really horribly damaged hair so it's a good thing.

I got it cut at Hair La Ross on Lonsdale St. earlier today. It's just my usual to get it cut there; kinda expensive but I don't trust my hair with someone else. Problem is if I get it cut in a dodgy Box Hill place, my hair can go whacks because it's naturally wavy :D Good for me, my hairstylist, Alan, knows what he's doing; so I'm quite obviously happy! Took a whole hour because he popped all these products and straightened my hair O_o? Even though my Cantonese was only borderline awesome, somehow, we got a conversation going and ended up talking bout:
1. Chinese kids who can't speak Chinese.
2. TVB Movies
3. Hair cuticles
4. China QC
5. Straighteners
6. GHD

He also gave me lotsa tips on how to make my hair better without being ripped off :P Quite a handy and economical stylist. But I'm quite happy with the result of $55, so thank you Alan :)

After the hair appointment, I went to COSTCO to do some shopping for this Saturday and holy-moly-geebus-jeepers, it is MASSIVE. Quite seriously, it has everything and not only everything, but TRIPLE THE SIZE. I think it's almost dirt cheap. I was looking for serviettes and they were selling 4 packets for 15 bucks but each packet had 330 PIECES. That's like 1320 A MILLION SERVIETTES. I didn't end up getting it though cos it was just pointless to have so many serviettes at home :p

One thing that caught my eye for sure, was this.A STEREO SPEAKER AND SUBWOOFER!

Dad has always been the "rock" kinda person. I think it has something to do with him spending his university years in the U.K. It was $250 and considering it's specs. were pretty good, Dad asked me if I wanted one! As much as I wanted it, my room is almost incapable of having any more electronic equipment.

Dad: "Li, Lei oi mou?" (Li, do you want this?)
Liz: "Mm oi la, mou wai zhai!" (Nah, there's no room for this!)
Mum: "Hou pheng le, ho yi lum ha" (It's really cheap, we can think about it)
Liz: "Wah mi, lei tou zan seng? Di, sai lek ah!!" (Wow Mum, you agree too? Dad, nice!)
Mum: "Pehng mahhh... (It's cheaaap!)
Dad: "Hai lor, oi zai fong tou tak!" (Yeah! You can put it in your room!
Mum: "ZAI FONG? Pin tou tak!" (In her room!? No way!)
Dad: "Mm zai fong, zai pin tou o! Li ti hai zai fong ge la.." (If we don't put it in her room, where is it gonna be? These things are for her room..)
Mum: "Mm tak la! Zai fong zau mm tak! ZAU." (NO! If it's in the room, then we can't buy it! Let's go!
Liz: "Peen tak kei fai ah." (She changed so quickly..)

In Costco, there's a cafe for people to just have lunch at and I have to say, they have the COOLEST STUFF. Look how they serve their Onions!!
You turn the knob on the right clockwise and it pushes out chopped onions onto hot dogs bought at the cafe! Absolutely the COOLEST way of serving onions O.O

I had the CHICKEN BAKE.
It had baked chicken pieces, cheese and caesar sauce. For 5 bucks, it was soooo filling and definitely a very good lunch :P I couldn't finish it :S Also, parents bought hot dogs so they came with REFILLABLE DRINKS. And not only did the machines fill up cups with drinks but also ICE. It had all these "Push for Ice" stuff. Crap, it was the best lunch experience :D

I just received an email and it's really appealed to me so hopefully it'll do the same to you. It initially asked me to pass it on but I know how much chain emails can be a pain in the arse so I'll just post it up here :)
My name is Chris ,
I am three,
My eyes are swollen..
I cannot see.

I must be stupid,
I must be bad,
What else could have made,
My daddy so mad?

I wish I were better,
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy,
Would still want to hug me.

I can't do a wrong,
I can't speak at all,
Or else I'm locked up,
All day long.

When I'm awake,
I'm all alone,
The house is dark,
My folks aren't home.

When my mommy does come home,
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll just get,
One whipping tonight.

I just heard a car,
My daddy is back,
From Charlie's bar

I hear him curse,
My name is called ,
I press myself,
Against the wall.

I try to hide,
>From his evil eyes,
I'm so afraid now,
I'm starting to cry.

He finds me weeping,
Calls me ugly words,
He says its my fault,
He suffers at work.

He slaps and hits me,
And yells at me more,
I finally get free,
And run to the door.

He's already locked it,
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me,
Against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor,
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues,
With more bad words spoken.

'I'm sorry!', I scream,
But it's now much to late,
His face has been twisted,
Into a unimaginable sh ape.

The hurt and the pain,
Again and again,
O please God, have mercy!
O please let it end!

And he finally stops,
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless,
Sprawled on the floor.

My name is Chris ,
I am three,
Tonight my daddy,
Murdered me.

♥ Rest in peace little ones.

Going acoustic.
' 4:50 PM

I'll never let your head hit the bed
Without my hand behind it

- Your Body is Wonderland, John Mayer -

After all that exams;
HAH. There we go; that pile's all cleaned up :D
Also, I'm SELLING MY ACCOUNTING TEXTBOOK so if anyone's interested, please contact me :) If you really want, I'll give you my workbook. I don't really care. I just don't want it anymore :D

Day's actually gone GREAT. Did LOTS of things and had a very productive arvo :) At bout eleven, I went to Westfield with my parents and bought my birthday present :D
One thing crossed off the "To-Buy List" :D

I went to Ozmosis and spent about half an hour just figuring what colour, model and pattern I wanted :P I really didn't want to get the normal black ones because I thought they would be too plain and since half the time I'd be wearing them with black shorts/skinnys, I figured to go for a bit of colour :P The coral one looked nice on the shelf but I guess my olive-skinned-asian-snakey-feet don't match :( So, I opted for a very risky and challenging colour; PURPLEYPINK :O It was $24.95 because the straps(?) were rubber :D

After making our way back, parents and Aunty Kim took me to the city cos they had to do some stuff and since I was in such great membership to MissyConfidential; I was entitled to a FREE BOBBI BROWN LIP LINER SAMPLE :D
I have to say though, it was a rather long walk :( I totally forgot that only buses run along Lonsdale St. and trams don't! I kept walking along Lonsdale St from Spring St and realized at the LonsdaleXRussell that there were no tram stops! :( So, I walked all the way down to Swanston :@ ARGH. But nevermind that, I got to see the MYER Christmas deco and *AWW* they had little Piglets on display! Not only were they cute, but they also MOVED and TALKED :D
Later, we went to Crown Cafe (the one NOT at Crown) to have lunch :) We walked along Hardware Lane which had alot of restaurants and definitely gave a very European feel to Australia's backdoor lanes :P
Quite a nice place and at some point, I'd love to dine in one of those fancy cafes :D

To wrap it all up; guess what my desktop wallpaper is?

Hey ho, hey ho!

EXAMS ARE OVER!

I have ZERO exams for the year! It's all over! And to finish off, I have to say it ended on a fairly good note :D Since I'm quite eager for a long post to happen, I shall rate all my exams :P
i. ESL - Overall, it was okay. I had extra time and I went way over the word limit which, confirmed by the teacher, was okay :D
ii. Legal - The most important one. It was good, I enjoyed it and although I don't think I did enough to get a full set, I think it was still good :)
iii. Accounting - This went surprisingly well! That's all I'll say. It's Accounting- doesn't deserve much words D:
iv. Methods - The worst one. Rushed, didn't have enough time and didn't finish the paper.
v. Literature - I guess this went alright. I knew what I was writing and had some form of transparent structure in my essay?
vi. General - Anytime better than Methods :@ A good ending to my exam period :D

Since all the exams are over and done with, I can look forward to other things now :D

Now, when I finished my exam, I went on Hotmail and The Age to read my emails and the 'world news'. I'll go with the Hotmail incident first!I got emailed by Ticketmaster a 'discount' for the David Straussman Ted E Farewell Tour! I'm desperate to go really! Anyone wanna come with? :D If you don't know who David Straussman is, go on Youtube and basically watch his vid! So far, my favourite is the bus one :D

I've realized I don't have enough music. Well, not enough; just updated. So, I went onto Billboard.com and download songs that titles seem to interest me. Some, I download just to seek new listening artistes. So far, I've really liked the lot that I've listened to!

Moving on... The Age, unfortunately, had less exciting and positive news. There were lots of news about FACEBOOK being misused.A few weeks ago, there was an incident where two girls were gang raped after an unofficial football match. The two boys are charged and some part of society feels this charge is despicable and evidently, side the defendants in this case. So, in response, they started a Facebook group to support the two alleged suspects.

Linked to it, was another article about a group of students in the University of Sydney who started a group who supported 'pro-rape'. Heading says, Elite college students proud of 'pro-rape' Facebook page. Which female in their sane mind would ever enroll in this university if this is what the other half of the tertiary institution thinks? That women are meat. Disgusting.

The two articles above were sourced by the headliner article below. It talks about how Facebook has extended its use beyond personal networking services but also into the professional expertise such as "private detectives to search for leads on people who have tried to disappear to avoid mounting debts" or "employers exploring sites to check the profiles of prospective staff" or "police to trap men who target teenage girls on chat sites". But beyond serving justice in society today, obviously there are the insecurities. Some girls are stalked and that really scares me because it shows how flawed the internet is despite Firewall and all that jazz. However, continue reading, girls from an exclusive Melbourne girls school have taken pornographic photos of themselves and posted them to their boyfriends. The pictures have then been forwarded to an unknown number of teenage boys leaving the girls' reputations in tatters." I'm sorry, but these girls, I have no sympathy for. Their tattered reputation have no one to blamed for but themselves. Pornography is an idiotic issue and if you don't agree with me, I don't care. I don't think anyone could FORCE someone to take pornographic photos of themselves; persuade perhaps, but not force unless they were threatening your life and all that jazz. Teaches everyone else to be careful about what photos we take. It's somewhat pathetic.

Senator Steve Fielding was interviewed today by 3AW's Neil Mitchell in response to the government's official apology to the forgotten Australians. He was sexually abused as a young teenager for a few years by a family friend and decided to speak about it very briefly. If you want to read about it, click here. Touched my heart and quite honestly, very moving talk.

Plain White. House. How I Met You.
' 10:53 PM

I want to know You,
I want to hear Your voice

- Deeper, Planetshakers -

Vicious Circle

Life has many vicious circles. The Catch 22 as some say.

I am satisfied, resolved, thankful but also hopeful. I know I have done less than required, and unsatisfactory thus deserve only what is rightful.

Anyways.
More importantly, I found a group called, "I Knew That Song Before It Became Popular" and to be honest, I can relate to that quite closely with this band.I found out about them through Myspace at the start of Year 9 really but it didn't get popular until months later :D In a way, they were like my favourite secret and in school, I'd secretly hum to their song and I remember quite clearly, my favourite song from them was 'Fireworks' *hums to it now*

I remember the morning 'Hey There Delilah' hit the radios and it became a Number One. Girls walked into class singing it and I think my heart quite literally fell apart to pieces. In a way, it's worth being celebrating because they've become some awesome band but on the other hand, they were MY secret :( Anyways, I stopped listening to them because people "oversang" it and the radio "overplayed" it.

Over the weekend, I've been watching the House and How I Met Your Mother episodes I've missed due to the stupid event called "EXAMS". The recent episode was quite scary in fact and not very happy for me. If you haven't seen it, DON'T READ ON. CLICK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

If you're still reading now, then you have chosen to do this and I am not held liable for any spoilers! SPOILERS ALERT.

I have to say, I really wanted Robin and Barney to be together :( It would have been the greatest thing. To have Barney Stinson, Neil Patrick Harris look like THIS: IS INSANE.
Then again, at the end when there was a "cold breeze"- that was funny :P

House episode was a slight let down especially with the re-appearance of Lucas. SERIOUSLY, everyone knows the directors know that Cuddy should end up with House but no...... They reintroduce a character as a romantic interest for Cuddy just to spark things up! I was IN TEARS from the moment House saw Lucas in Cuddy's room :( House is reformed, changed- and Cuddy SHOULD KNOW. A second chance- when the first chance was never given out in the first place? But needless to say, Cuddy's hair is really nice this season and her baby is adorable :D Just not in the hands of Lucas! D:

15. SUMMER BREAK!

I have my LAST exam for the year TOMORROW. Even though it's possibly the exam I will stuff up the most, I'm looking forward to 11am, Monday the 16th of November 2009! That marks the end of studying for Year 11 :D Of course, it gears up again, possibly at the end of December. How ironically stupid.

I am however, (regardless of how much work I'll need to do) quite excited for the coming weeks :D Not thrilled about the whole Course Conf. and all but really psyched for my first work shift at Crown :D Next Sunday in fact! But I don't get paid until mid-December. But still :D I'm thankful!

In fact, before all that; I'm celebrating my birthday with friends! :D Gonna take heaps of photos and probably upload ;) I feel quite terrible that my blog is somewhat photo-deficient during these few current posts :(

Adding on, I took a photo of my motivation to study Legal throughout the last week or so :)Whenever I'm procrastinating and not wanting to study Legal... I'd look at that and go, "I don't want to get a text saying I got 20 :S" *goes study NOW* It's somewhat worked and hopefully in some ways, paid off for my exam too!

I have my Cotton On Induction in two weeks and to be quite honest, I'm REALLY EXCITED!! I don't really know what to expect but whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be great :D Hopefully I get lotsa shifts throughout the week :D

15. SUMMER BREAK!

As you can see, I have officially crossed out HALF my exams for this semester! :D *Parties*

I have my Methods and Literature Exam tomorrow and to be honest, it's not exactly the worst or greatest feeling. I feel about say 90% ready for Methods and for Literature, 80%. If there's something I can take away from last night studying, it's;
NEVER WATCH 'MINORITY REPORT' AT NIGHT IN THE DARK!

I nearly shat my self (no not really) when Agatha randomly screams cos I had not watched the beginning yet. It's a good movie really. But it's still A REALLY EERIE MOVIE. Colours are all faint and desaturated. Intense music playing in the background. Looking into people's eyes. Far out, it's too much for a Thursday night!

But anyways, amusing enough, again, I had a dream about my exam. Not my Methods though, Literature. It was like pretty stupid cos I ended up talking to a friend for so long, finding out he's dating some International Student girl and I failed Literature :( Sucks doesn't it? :(
